Costa Rica is an ideal destination for those who seek a balance between work and adventure. In addition, the technological infrastructure, security and magic make it a very attractive option for a digital nomad lifestyle.<\/span><\/p>\n

Undoubtedly, in our country there is the perfect combination between work and relaxation in a natural environment that will allow you to disconnect from routine and connect with nature.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beyond the natural beauty of the country, digital nomads have found in Costa Rica an attractive place to develop their jobs thanks to the benefits that the government has established through the new law to support digital nomads.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the most important advantages is legal residence in the country for one year, with the possibility of renewing for an additional year. This allows them to work and live legally in the country, without having to worry about paperwork.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to a study carried out by \u00abDigital Nomad Explorer in 2022\u00bb, Costa Rica is in the <\/span>top 10 of the best destinations for digital nomads in the world.<\/b> The study evaluated factors such as cost of living, internet quality, security, access to coworking spaces, and natural beauty, including the friendliness of the locals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regarding the cost of living, Costa Rica is a fairly affordable destination compared to other countries in the region. Rent for an apartment can range from $500 to $1,000 depending on the location, while food and services are relatively cheap compared to other Latin American countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the digital nomads who are in our country can use their foreign driver’s license, which facilitates their mobility and allows them to travel to different places no problem. They also enjoy exemption from import taxes on the equipment necessary to carry out without having to worry about the taxes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another advantage offered to digital nomads is the income tax exemption not only for them, but for their families, in case they are also in the country. This represents a significant savings that allows them to dedicate more resources to their work and personal enjoyment.<\/span><\/p>\n
